Engineered building systems such as structural insulated panel
systems address each of these concerns in dramatic fashion. These
systems provide superior insulation values for the entire
envelope, they use less wood, require fewer natural resources,
create less waste, reduce the demand for skilled labor, as well as
reduce construction schedules by 1-2 weeks. Properly designed
structural insulated systems provide a tighter envelope with
little room for air and moisture infiltration. Proper sizing of
HVAC systems, and in some cases the use of HRV (heat recovery
ventilator units), can allow occupants to enjoy a much healthier,
cleaner, and allergy-free environment. We spend most of our time
indoors, so make an immediate impact and start building with
structural insulated panel systems today.
